The floods, 2014.
The flooding has been awful for those who have been flooded in their homes. It looks like we will have to expect these sorts of conditions more frequently in the future.
For the rowers in Henley (and on the upper reaches of the Thames as well as the Severn) these have been frustrating times. More time is spent on rowing machines and less time on the water which is what makes the sport so magical.
For me, the river has taken on a new perspective along the amazing rain clouds on the 18 February. This really was a very dramatic sky along with the reflections in the water. Out of adversity, we see beauty.
